On a roll

Now that I’m getting to grips with the basics of WordPress,  I want to try out some Web 2.0 tools.  Recently, I’ve come across Scoop-it!, a social media site for collecting media around particular topics. This video explains all..

This is one  I’ve created for Gilly Salmon’s 5 stage model for e-learning. Click on the image on the left and it will shoot you off to the Scoopit page.

Scoop it! is a social sharing site so you can use it to suggest topics to the orginal curator. Feel free to suggest topics to this one!

I also like the idea of using it to create bios like the one the Scoop-it! team have created here.

In the process of curating the Gilly Salmon page I used Google Docs which has been on my back-burner for a while.  So, two birds down there – result!

Next stop – Livebinder which I think might be good for keeping lesson resources together and Spiderscribe for creating mindmaps online.

Have you had any experiences you can share about using these or any other Web 2.0 tools for collating resources or creating mindmaps?

  1. Hi deb, I really like the way you have used ScoopIt here in your blog, most innovative. Great idea. I like the way you have separate tabs in this blog for your experiences.
